Tour de France 2016: Chris Froome wins stage 18 to extend overall lead


Britain's Chris Froome won the stage-18 time trial to edge nearer to winning his third Tour Diamond State France title. Team Sky's Froome finished twenty one seconds earlier than Dutchman Tom Dumoulin to win the unsmooth 17km stage in half-hour and forty three seconds, with Fabio Aru third. Froome, the 2013 and 2015 Tour winner, currently leads the 2016 edition by 3 minutes and fifty two seconds. Bauke Mollema of Holland and Briton Adam Yates remained second and third overall severally.
