Chris Froome falls to fourth


Britain's Chris Froome slipped to fourth within the Vuelta a Spain standings as Spain's David Delaware la Cruz won stage 9 and took the leader's red jersey. Froome finished aboard his general classification rivals, 2 minutes fifty six seconds behind Delaware la Cruz. The European isn't expected to challenge within the overall standings however won the 164.5km stage by twenty seven seconds earlier than Belgian Dries Devenyns. He overtakes Colombian Nairo Quintana, UN agency took the red jersey on Sabbatum. Froome is going to become the primary man in thirty eight years to win the Vuelta and Tour Delaware France within the same season. He finished aboard Quintana and second-placed Alejandro Valverde, each of Movistar, still as three-time champion Alberto Contador when they failed to challenge Delaware la Cruz for the stage win.
